Back in SG

Waiting for mei to call me ... while waiting, I'll blog =)

I touch down in Singapore yesterday around 1220am and Mei came over to pick me. Time really does fly, espcially when you are enjoying yourself. 4 days has passed just like that. Well, following is a recap of the events in Hong Kong, I'll try to be as detailed and brief as possible.

16th May

Woke up at 330am and went to get ready to go to the airport. It's been a long time since I woke up so early... Took a cab with Ellen, who was staying over at my place, to the aiport. Reach there at 430am, ½ hour earlier than the meet up time with Shirley and Nic. So we went to BK to grab a bite, was my dinner cum breakfast =P and Shirley and Nic join us there later. After the meal, we went to check in. Shop around a bit and hang around till the boarding time.

Reached Hong Kong around 1130am and took the airport transfer to Majestic Hotel. After we dump our luggage in the room, we set off for Lantau Island in mind. And it is then that I thought of calling Maria to let her know that I've reached. Good thing also, cos she came over to the hotel to look for me =O

Went back hotel and met up with Maria. Upon her advise, we decided to postpone the trip to Lantau Island to a later date. Today will be spend visiting the markets and eatery. Maria treated us lunch and then brought us around. It is really nice of her =D (We got her a little something that we post over to her ;) hope she will like it) Well, she left us around 615pm for her appointment and we continue our exploring.

17th May

Woke up at 6am and got ready to go to Ocean Park. Wanted to take breakfast at Jumbo Restaurant but they are not open yet. Spend the whole day at Ocean Park, playing the theme rides, watching the shows, etc.

Went back to the hotel to freshen up as it has been a very hot day. Then went for a nice dinner and then head off to Lan Kwai Fong. Instead of drinking, we ended up having Haagen Dazs ice cream there, lol.

18th May

Woke up early and set off for Lantau Island. Day was cloudy. And when we reach the mountain top, it drizzle a little. I didn't manage to get a clear picture of the big Buddha cos of the clouds... what a waste... We had our lunch there (Vegetarian food), which is included in the entrance fee.

After lunch, we wanted to find a hair saloon to groom ourselves but we abandon the plan as the price is either too ex or worried that the end results might not be what we want... Decided to go to the peak early and explore Mdm Tussards wax musuem instead. I got a free tram ride as I was born in May, cool right?

It's very cloudy at the Peak as well. We snap a few pictures of the evening time in HK. Then went to explore Mdm T museum. Some of the wax figurine does looks like the actual person, while some you have to look at a certain angle.

It was still early when we came out from the museum, not yet night fall. Shop around while waiting for night fall as we wanted to take the pictures of the night scenery of Hong Kong. Around 7pm, we went to the viewing platform. It started to drizzle again... and the sky is so cloudy... Well, Nic, our professional photographer set about to take the pics while we waited. When he's done, we went off to our next itinerary, Avenue of Stars.

It has started raining when we reach the place. Decided to brave the rain and walk down the Avenue of Stars. Half way through, the sky break and we have to turn back. It was so heavy that we have to call off the thing and head back to the hotel. We have dinner opposite the hotel, Steam Boat, yummy~ It is later then I realise that there's an "Amber Rainstorm Warning". And it rain through the night...

19th May

Last stop for the trip is Wong Tai Sin Temple. Went down to the temple, walk around a bit and then went to have breakfast. Guess we must be really lucky. The minute we sit down, the rain started and it's raining really heavily...

When we are done and the rain has stopped, we head back to the hotel to pack up and check out. Left our luggage with the hotel and walk around a bit while waiting for Frederick, my friend, to come over to meet us.

Frederick came with David and we had lunch together. He gave us a treat and then bring us to shop in a new shopping complex. It's a big building, we were there for around 2 hours and I only manage to explore 3/4 of the shopping complex...

Went back to the hotel around 445pm to claim our luggage and to wait for our airport transfer which came shortly.

Reached the airport, check in and went for dinner at "阿二靓汤”. Then some last min shopping and went to find our "gate", which is at the extreme end. Flight is delayed by 20 min or so but we still manage to reach SG at 1220am.

Overall, this is a good trip although all of us are very tired at the end of it =P I'm too lazy to upload any pictures now. But when I do, I will post the link here ;) so stay tune~
